Castaway Cove

Had a wonderful stay, very large group of us, and we all enjoyed the house. We stayed with a toddler and it gave a lot piece of mind to have a screened in porch area, with steps (and a pool alarm on the door) between the main living space and the pool/dock. Very close shops, and walk to the beach was so quick and convenient. House was great overall, however, the furniture is a little tired and can tell things have taken a little beating here and there.
Also, just something to keep in mind with booking, this is a management company, not an individual so they are not as flexible on things like late checkout / early check in / leaving a car parked in the driveway after checkout. With that said - bare bones house means you have to buy every little condiment and necessity for your stay. Including garbage bags, coffee filters, dish detergent, spices, oil, etc. Not saying this is a bad thing, was just different. Felt like a waste of some stuff but we gave extras to the neighbors.

Perfect house and pool with hot tub for our 12 member intergenerational family reunion! Very spacious with comfortable king beds, and a children’s bunk room. Games room downstairs. Loved the outdoor shower and potty for the kids! The beach was beautiful; you can walk for miles along the pristine water! Nice casual beachside restaurant a couple of blocks away with cute shops walking distance. Our three adult children and their spouses fell in love with this place! Their children are little so it was very fun and easy for them. AMI has a friendly relaxed vibe and the hosting agency is super responsive to any issues! We would definitely rent here again.

King beds, bunk room, game space, pool and hot tub… that’s how you do family time right. And we love that the outdoor shower (and the little “potty” setup!) made beach days easy with the kiddos. Castaway cove was a great vacation home for our family. We were 4 couples and 4 young children. Comfortable beds, nice open kitchen, living, dining area. Great pool and hot tub. A block from a beautiful beach. Cute restaurant on the beach. It was the perfect place for our intergenerational family with little children. Plenty to do nearby but we were pretty entertained just going to the beach and lounging in the pool in the afternoon. We appreciated the beach wagon and chairs and lots of pool towels!

This home was great for our group, 2 adult couples and 4 teenagers. There are great shared spaces but also enough bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group to share. The location is amazing and was perfect for our needs, plenty of parking for our cars, canal access with a dock for a boat that allowed us to easily get out to Tampa Bay, a garage to store our bikes, paddle boards, and beach toys, only a short walk to the public beach access at the end of the street, and plenty of walkable restaurants and bars for the nights we wanted to go out. The kitchen was well stocked for the nights we wanted to cook with plenty of dishes and utensils (including a crock pot) to prepare and serve our group of 8. The first level game room (ping pong, pool, and foosball) and the heated pool with hot tub were great for the teenagers. We stayed for 2 weeks and only needed to contact the host for a couple minor needs, but when we did they were immediately responsive with same day service and resolution.

We were a family group of 9 6 adults. 3 small children. Castaway Cove was great accommodation. We had a difficult start to the vacation because an unseasonal cold snap lost all the heat from the swimming pool. It took 4 days to get the water in it up to temperature again. However. Once achieved the pool was fantastic. AMI Locals were highly responsive to our concerns about the pool and acted. Quickly to get technicians to sort out the heating problem. We had a great vacation AMI is simply wonderful

We loved our stay here. Our one suggestion would be to leave more “staples” for guests. There were no spices (even salt and pepper), no storage containers (baggies or ziplock containers), no liquid hand soap, no Saran Wrap or aluminum foil etc). We’ve stayed in many VRBOs and have appreciated when these types of items spill over from guest to guest.

This is our 3rd annual family vacation in Anna Maria. We were a group of 12. The house was perfect, clean and comfortable! The host was responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed the pool and the private dock made our stay better for early morning fishing!

Property was as advertised. Quiet neighborhood, but highly walkable to beaches, fishing, shopping and restaurants, plus trolley stop at the end of the block. We utilized all amenities, and had a relaxing time. Would stay here again if we return with 10 adults. Loved our time on the Island!!

This place is perfect for young children - very safe and clean. Bunk bed room is perfect for multiple kids. The location cannot be beat - restaurants and beach within 2 blocks. As a mom of two kids under 4, I appreciated the attention to kitchen detail, there was even a crock pot! I got to do yoga on the canal dock and listen to fish jump while my kids played in the heated pool. It was chilly (50-60 degrees most of the time in January when we were there and the pool and hot tub remained warm enough to enjoy. Also, you can’t beat the walk in closet in the master bathroom. Highly recommend!

The beds were very comfy. Had a little trouble setting A/C ( it was cold at night). Loved having the pool alarms with 2 babies. Kitchen was well equipped the ice maker made ice but did not dispense. Would suggest adding a grill spatula ( bigger one). Overall we had the BEDT time and slept well.

We came for a family trip and had an amazing time. This house was perfect for 8 adults and 4 children under the age of 7. The alarm system was so helpful as many of them wanted to go out by the pool and dock! Excellent proximity to the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

Place was incredible!!! Definitely would come back!! Couple of small critiques… the alarms on the back doors were SUPER annoying. Not sure what drives that (insurance etc) but if you’re not used to it, it will get you dozens of times. Also, not enough dish soap, trash, bags, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels or toilet paper for more than about 3 days and a full house. Expect a little more for what we paid.

The home location was really great & the backyard was lush & private! Beautiful spacious pool! Another bathroom upstairs would really help out. There are too many bedrooms sharing upstairs. Even a 1/2 bath would help out.

Great house for our family of 5 with3 20 somethings and occasional significant others. We did a lot of cooking and kitchen is spacious & pretty well equipped. Great for entertaining on the spacious tables. WiFi needs upgrade with everyone working at same time!

Family of 7 stayed here a week before the COVID pandemic. The house was clean, comfortable, and as described. We used the pool everyday without issues we’ve had at other rentals - it was cleaned and at a warm temperature — plus the hot tub worked on command. Thank you for the great stay.

Super easy check in & quick response with questions. The Pool was warm & the House is super close to the beach. We had family staying at the house on the end of the canal that were catching fish off their dock & we saw a manatee in the canal! The House had everything we needed for cooking and had enough toiletry essentials to get started. (Hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags.) The pool gets a good mix of sun and shade throughout the day, so there is options for both all day long. Very private backyard. Game room and screened in porch were great to have!

We really enjoyed our vacations in this beautiful big house and one block to the Gulf Beach. I brought my 21' boat and was perfect in the private dock, and I rented a jetski. I had some questions to the managers and they answered me in minutes. If you want a great vacations near to the beach this is The House.

The house was very clean and in a great location. Plenty of room for the whole family. Loved the big round table in kitchen and screened, outdoor dining area. Game area was great for older kids and house was equipped with beach toys for younger kids and even a wagon to help push everything to beach. Also loved the outdoor shower and restroom so you wouldn’t have to track water and sand in house. I only have a few comments that could have made the stay just a little better. Have the pool cleaned prior to new guests checking in - we arrived on Friday with the pool filthy and had to wait until Saturday mid afternoon until it was scheduled for service; equip kitchen area with cutting knives - there was only a bread knife available, either add DVD player or ability to download apps to smart tv - for family movie night; and lastly put AC unit in game room as it would get very hot and uncomfortable to play in. Other than those, Would still highly recommend this house for any family looking for a great house in a great location.

That house is perfect. The time we spent in it was beautiful. My parents were in love with the view seen from the terrace.   Everything was very clean, well equipped, the location is excellent, restaurants and shops just a few steps away, the beach just one block away and the beautiful bay just behind the house. The pool area is great to relax while you keep an eye on the children (especially if you have four like us) they loved everything.   Thanks to the management for being so attentive and helpful.   We will be back soon.

The best rental property we have ever stayed in. Spotless, clean inside&out, well equipped, great location 1 block to the beach & very peaceful area, bay right behind the house, everything smells brand new. Great ice cream shop & many restaurants 2 mins walk. There is nothing I would change. Just a perfect vacation for our family and we'll be definitely coming back later this year. Great job!

We spent a very nice vacation this beautiful house. Close to everything, but in a quiet and quiet residential street, "just as in the promotion" just one block from a beautiful beach perfect for relaxing. The children and my parents enjoyed it as much as the games room (well equipped) and the pool.   Everything very comfortable and clean. The most beautiful house I've ever been in! Cleanliness, decor ,great swimming pool. The kitchen area was amazing and very convenient. The house next river is really big and has many options that can be done in the house to enjoy the fun:) I personally fell in love with the terrace from which was a beautiful view. If you want to enjoy a really nice holiday with family I recommend visiting this place Jane. K
