HOLMES BEACH - On June 25th the City of Holmes Beach mayor Judy Titsworth issued Emergency Ordinance No. 20-11, which mandates that "Individuals wear a face covering in public in certain circumstances". Please be advised that when this ordinance goes into effect on Sunday June 28, 2020 at 5:00 pm you will need to have a mask or other protective face covering when out in public in Holmes Beach or risk being issued a citation or warning by a Code Compliance officer, and if not corrected, subsequently ticketed and/or fined.

ANNA MARIA - On June 26th the City of Anna Maria mayor Dan Murphy issued a similar order, specifying that beginning on June 28, 2020 at 8:00 am all persons "shall wear a face covering in any indoor location other than their home or residence, when not maintaining social distance" or risk a $50 fine per violation.

To paraphrase simply, this ordinance and order state that when you are out in indoor public places in the cites of Holmes Beach or Anna Maria on the island, you must wear a mask or face covering.
